Faculty Appreciation Award, Red Tassel Chapter of Mortar Board Honor Society
This award recognizes "faculty members who spark a particular interest in students and further their academic or personal maturation." I was nominated for this award by an undergraduate who had taken a course with me in Fall 1997 and has worked as an independent study student since then.
State Farm Teaching Technology Faculty Fellowship, Summer 1999
This competitive award entailed participation in an intensive workshop designed to expose fellows to a variety of teaching-learning technologies to facilitate their ability to integrate them into their courses and to create a cohort of mentors for other faculty.
