Faculty Resource Guide for Psychology Courses

The main purpose of this guide is to provide resources for faculty members interested in infusing their courses with more information regarding diverse populations. Diversity issues are important given the increasing diversification of people and their experiences in the United States. In addition, addressing diversity is also relevant in terms of ecological validity, research, and theories. What we teach in class is often derived from limited populations and are assumed to be universally applicable, which may not be accurate.

Below you will find information on books, articles, and Web sites which address issues of diversity in terms of ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and gender. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this resource guide. Any suggestions for additions or corrections are welcome!
