Each year the Department
of Psychology and the School Psychology Program
sponsor an institute for current students, faculty,
and area mental health professionals.
Institute presenters represent national leaders
in school psychology and related areas that impact
the practice of school psychology.
The Institute
consists of a three-hour skill-based workshop for
community-based professionals, students, and
interested faculty. The afternoon includes a research
colloquium presented to the Department of Psychology
and others interested in the presenter's research.
The day ends with an informal meeting with current
Ph.D. students to further discuss the presenter's
research and other professional issues impacting
the field of school psychology.
