Project #1 - Research in School Change:
Implementing Flexible Service Delivery in School Buildings
This research project involves working with schools that are moving
towards implementing a Flexible Service
Delivery System. The student researcher
will be exposed to the following knowledge
base and develop the following skills:
1. Become familiar with principles of school change.
2. Learn concepts related to Flexible
Service Delivery in Illinois, which represents a service
delivery system that better meets the needs
of at-risk students by identifying academic
and behavioral deficits early and by providing
evidence-based academic and behavioral
interventions.
3. Learn curriculum-based assessment methods in reading,
math, and written language including developing
skills in administration and scoring with
preschool and elementary school-age students.
4. Participate in survey development, data entry, and
analysis for school-wide program evaluation
projects.
These projects are particularly relevant for students interested
in entering graduate programs in school
psychology.
